Shaving Jacinta's purple hair off!

Hello friends and family!

I've created this page because I want to make a difference to the one in eight women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, one of those being my amazing mum!

A couple of months ago she went to have a regular breast screen as a regualr thing, after the screen they called her back in for more tests that came back positive. She is lucky in the fact that it was found in the early stage but had she left it another 10 years, she may not have been around to see me reach my 40th birthday. My mum is such a big part of my world, I didn't have the best time growing up and she brought me up all on her own for 19 years and even now I may go a few weeks tops without talking to her, for life gets in the way, but when I do it's like talking to my best friend. She is my best friend. I can't imagine life without her, she has been such an amazing support for me for everything I have been through as someone I can always rely on no matter what! All I feel I can do for her now is be just as supportive and as positive as humanly positive and beyond! That's why I'm doing this, we're going to kick this thing in the butt! 

So by the end of this month when I have raised $2000 I will be shaving off all my hair. As most of you will probaly know, I love my hair, love dying it bright colours and have been growning it long for a while now but in support for my beautiful mum it's gonna go!

I'm inspired by the work that National Breast Cancer Foundation do and want to help them reach their aspirational goal of zero deaths from breast cancer by 2030.
